Relocate the capital to Grand Bahama

I believe the government should give serious consideration to moving the capital of The Bahamas out of Nassau, New Providence to Grand Bahama.
New Providence is too overcrowded.? The island is only 21.1 miles long and 6.8 miles wide; yet it is home to 248,948 people.? That means a staggering 70 percent of The Bahamas' population lives in New Providence.

Freeport got weather warning after tornadoes hit

FREEPORT, Grand Bahama - Residents got no warning that severe weather was expected until about 20 minutes after two tornados had struck the northern part of the island Monday.
